I initially set my sights on becoming a medical doctor in my home country of Denmark.
However a friend of mine had an accident and injured her back and neck. I gave her a lift to the local chiropractor and he invited me into the treatment room and spoke to me about chiropractic. I immediately felt completely fascinated by how effectively and gently he could help ease her pain.
I was awestruck and knew then that I had found what I wanted to spend the rest of my time doing.
I moved to England in 1993 to study chiropractic at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth. I graduated in 1998 and moved to North Yorkshire to work.
I became a member of the British Chiropractic Association in 1998 and registered with the General Chiropractic Council in 1999. I am also registered to provide chiropractic care for a number of private insurance companies as well as being a recognised BUPA and PPP provider.
I enjoy my life here in the North East and feel Teesside has a lot to offer. I have always found people here have the qualities I most appreciate; straight-forward and warm-hearted.

I am from Darlington and have lived in the north most of my life. I studied at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth where I learned many treatment techniques including spinal adjustments, massage, activator technique, physical rehabilitation and how to take and read spinal X-Rays. I moved to Stockton Chiropractic Clinic in July 2007 where I am now enjoying treating my patients and resolving their pain and improving their functional ability. I believe strongly in the importance of having good postural control, maintaining a healthy spine and living a healthy lifestyle in order to live a full and productive life.
I became a chiropractor after being treated for a long-term lower back complaint and was so impressed with the results of my treatment that I decided to study chiropractic after completing my first university degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. Reducing people's pain and improving their functional ability is incredibly satisfying and I am delighted to be helping people in the same way as I was helped by my chiropractor. In my spare time I enjoy running, cycling, gym, walking my dogs and learning Spanish.

In my early twenties, I was a stage and production manager, which involved a lot of heavy awkward lifting. This caused the inevitable low back problems, and I was advised by a colleague to visit a chiropractor. I was very impressed with the results of my treatment, and decided to study for a second degree in chiropractic. I studied full-time at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth for 5 years, which included learning anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnosis and many treatment techniques, together with radiography and radiology. I came to Stockton Chiropractic Clinic in August 2008, and am really pleased to be working in the North of England again; I did my first degree at the University of Bradford, and have lived and worked in Yorkshire for many years. In my experience, nowhere is as friendly and down-to-earth as the north east, and I regard it as my true home. I enjoy treating babies and children as well as adults, and I am always really impressed with the results of chiropractic care in all age groups. As well as providing treatment, I am also very aware of the importance of exercises and lifestyle advice and I like to work with people to help them take control of their situation, ease their pain and improve their quality of life. I have two children, and consequently spend most of my spare time with my family; I enjoy walking the dog, horse-riding, swimming and cooking good food.
